Dab Penguin Sculpture (Vittorio Gennari)

The gesture of the penguin (dab) refers to the one made by sportsmen and women after an outstanding performance or by footballers after a goal, a gesture of pride that represents a great achievement and is imitated by millions of children around the world. The ceramic penguin, designed with the lowpoly technique, is defined by a few lines and the facets are emphasised by the introduction of precious metal enamels: its shape synthesised to the maximum is as if it were dissolving and suggests the idea of a presence that is gradually diminishing until it disappears, to represent time running out.
