Over 50 manual steps for the Borsalino Hat

It takes a long time to make a Borsalino hat: at least seven weeks and over 50 manual steps The journey begins with the creation of felt, compacting natural fibres through jets of hot water and centrifugal force in a process that is both mysterious and fascinating. The patient hands of the craftsmen mould the material, making the cone more and more compact through repeated pressure and rubbing. The hat takes on its iconic shape through three transformations, the result of over 160 years of artisanal expertise and finally, after shaving and reshaping the profile and stitching on the accessories, the real Borsalino hat is born.
