How the Tudor Black Bay Collection Was Born

 

The Tudor Black Bay collection was introduced in 2012 as a tribute to the legendary diving watches that marked the history of the Maison. Since the 1950s, Tudor has accompanied divers and sailors with reliable and precise instruments designed to face the depths of the sea. With the Black Bay line, this spirit is reinterpreted in a modern key, blending vintage charm with technical innovation.

 

The launch of the Black Bay also coincides with the return of Tudor to the U.S. market after nearly ten years of absence, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Maison: a phase in which the brand clearly defines its identity, distinct yet complementary to Rolex.

 

The success was immediate: in 2013 the Tudor Black Bay received the Revival Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, confirming its international prestige.
