The Big Pilot's Watch Annual Calendar Edition 'Le Petit Prince' features a stainless steel case and rhodium-plated hands. The dark blue dial is the hallmark of all IWC special editions inspired by The Little Prince, the most famous literary work by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The annual calendar shows the month, date and day of the week in three separate curved windows on the dial. The American date format is a tribute to Florentine Ariosto Jones, the American watchmaker and engineer who founded IWC in 1868. This advanced mechanism automatically records the length of individual months, thus requiring only one manual correction per year at the end of February. The timepiece is powered by the IWC-manufactured 52850 calibre. Consisting of 326 individual parts, it features the Pellaton automatic recharging system. By exploiting the rotor's movements in both directions, it allows a 7-day power reserve to be accumulated in two barrels. The rotor is shaped like the Little Prince on his asteroid 'B-612'. This exclusive timepiece features a brown calfskin leather strap with a folding clasp.
