The Montblanc Star Legacy product line is inspired by the Minerva heritage and its pocket watches crafted between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis draws its inspiration from the Latin word Orbis Terrarum, meaning 'globe', 'Earth' or 'world'. This timepiece is powered by an automatic movement with a manufacture complication. The aim is to offer a universal time function that is intuitively readable and easy to set, without compromising on aesthetic elegance. Once set, the function will display the time of the 24 time zones simultaneously, specifying whether it is day or night time for each of the cities indicated. With just one button, this timepiece is easy to set even when travelling. The dial consists of a rotating sapphire crystal upper disc, which features a three-dimensional, rhodium-plated map of the Northern Hemisphere with meridians, framed by a ring showing the 24 cities and their respective time zones. Underneath this sapphire disc is a further day/night disc that rotates 24 hours, alternating between light blue for daytime hours and dark blue for night-time hours. The city and local time relative to the owner's location are indicated by a red arrow at 12 o'clock. The timepiece features a 43 mm polished stainless steel case with a satin finish on the sides.
