Thanks to the quality and reliability of his creations, he quickly established himself as a reference point in fine watchmaking, becoming the official supplier of the “Tir Fédéral” (the national postal and railway service) and even of the court of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia.

 

Thirty years later, in Pforzheim, Karl Scheufele I created a jewellery maison that combined goldsmithing and watchmaking, laying the foundations for a vision that would come together decades later.

It was also the first time Chopard combined diamonds with stainless steel: an unprecedented pairing that gave birth to the sporty-chic style—modern, dynamic, yet always sophisticated. 

 

With the Imperiale collection, Chopard explores an entirely different universe. Inspired by the nobility and aesthetics of great civilizations of the past, this series stands out for its elaborate dials, often in mother-of-pearl, and chiselled lugs recalling ornamental motifs of imperial eras.

The dial, with its radial texture, recalls the eagle’s iris, while the slender hands evoke the lightness of its feathers.
