Watchmaking, the first passion of Valter Franco Ricci, also becomes the meeting point with the world of jewelry.

In the late '80s, in fact, this passion leads to the encounter with Emanuele Foa, expert jeweler from Casale Monferrato, with whom Valter Franco Ricci embarks on a relationship of mutual respect that will be for him a source of inspiration and knowledge for goldsmith techniques, as well as the meeting with a famous designer from Valenza.

The first creation comes to life in 1988 and is the Risvolto. An innovative ring for its time, with marked and defined shapes, desiring to communicate the opening of a new chapter: the experience in the jewelry.

The Valter Franco Ricci Jewels are always recognizable by the use of rose gold, sharp profiles, highlighted and often embellished, generous volumes, materials and precious gems but mostly chromatic harmony combined with the obsessive pursuit of quality, which allow to identify the artifact.

The learned knowledge, combined with the creativity of Valter Franco Ricci, has created iconic achievements with designed and refined forms, never ordinary, which still are part of his jewelery lines designed exclusively for Astrua.
